Mrs. Dale's Diary

on Light Programme

(BBC recording)
(Repeated on Tuesday at 11.15 a.m.)

Pat told George that Sue was not having enough to eat; this worried George so much that he asked Henry to send her a food hamper every week, anonymously. Hester Krautz sent fifty pounds to the Dales to buy 'comforts for the house.' In the Bahamas Richard had to cut his holiday with Sally short because work called him back to Hollywood; he told her he was going to settle in America, and Sally returned to England faced with the problem whether or not to join him there and give up 'Stephanie.' Henry had a pantomime offer for his sea-lions; Joyce refused to let him go with them so reluctantly he agreed to let Todhunter take them.
