Wimbledon 90
Reigning champion Steffi Graf is only 21, but she has already won two Wimbledon singles titles. Called 'the greatest woman player of all time', the West German remains undaunted by success: 'If you believe that I'm the best tennis player in the world, or the best that there has been, that is your decision, not mine. I just try to do my best.' As always, she faces strong opposition. Martina Navratilova is determined to achieve a record ninth title and will be out to win.

From 10. 55am BBC

Plus: World Cup football action (6.50pm or 11.55pm BBC 1) and Test match cricket (from 3.45pm BBC2).
