In the ' South '. although many eat perfectly well, millions suffer and die from diet-related and water-borne diseases. In both regions, health is often a direct consequence of what people eat and drink. How far can health problems be solved by doctors, drugs and hospitals and what is the role of ' primary health care '? Are there lessons for the ' North ' in the ways health problems are being tackled in the 1 South '?
