Kelly's Heroes

on BBC One London

Second World War action adventure, starring Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas
When a German officer carrying some gold bars falls into the hands of a degenerate US platoon, the resourceful Kelly and his belligerent sergeant Big Joe gather a rag-bag team of men to "liberate" the remaining ingots, worth millions, from a bank behind enemy lines. In theory they just have to race in, grab the loot and scoot back, but Kelly's "heroes" do not find it anywhere near that easy.
