MUSIC AND THE LIBERAL ARTS

on Network Three

by JOHN STEVENS
Lecturer in English in the University of Cambridge
Music formed an important part of the standard medieval university education, but not for the kind of reasons we should be most likely to tive. This talk is among a number devised to accompany the current series of music Programmes from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Nicholas of Cusa, by Gordon Leff : October 26
