Field-Marshal Earl Haig
June 19, 1961, was the centenary of the birth of Field-Marshal Earl Haig , Commander-in-Chief of the British armies in France and Flanders from December 1915 until the end of the war.
This programme is an attempt at an appreciation of the Field-Marshal made by generals and private soldiers who served under him, by military historians, by friends, and by those who worked with him for the British Legion.
