THE B.B.C. THEATRE ORCHESTRA
Under the direction of S. KNEALE KELLEY
THE PROGRAMME this evening is memorable for the fact that Henry Hall is to top the bill. This is his first appearance in Variety, apart from Olympia, where his success was so great that the actual record taken of his act showed three minutes and five seconds of applause after he had made his speech. He is to appear this evening as a grand finale to his second year with the B.B.C.
And what a programme! Layton and Johnstone make a welcome reappearance after a three month's absence. Scott and Whaley back again. Frank Coleman with his silver voice, and Julian Rose with his Hebrew stories.
Old friends with new entertainment.
The Eight Step Sisters, one of them a singer now. And last, but not least, Tessie O'Shea , who has nine years' experience on the stage, though she is not yet twenty-one.
