Workforce

on BBC Radio 4 FM

A quarterly report on the world of employment introduced by Brian Redhead
Skill shortages will almost certainly hinder the development of information technology in the 1990s. That is one of the conclusions of a recent report commissioned by a group of government departments. Brian Redhead finds out about the efforts that will have to be made if the British workforce is to play its part in the high-tech industries of the future. He also checks on what has been happening to the workforce over the past six months and reports on other recent developments in the world of work.
