A commentary on the Final of the 100 yards Free-Style Men's Championship of England and the 200 yards Breast-Stroke Men's Championship of England by R.G. Jordan and Stewart MacPherson from the Minehead Swimming Pool.
The English Amateur Swimming Association annually holds a three- or four-day meeting, at which the principal English Championships are held. In view of the Olympic Games in 1940, the present championships, the fifth of the series, are of special interest, as at this meeting swimmers will have to prove their claims to consideration for inclusion in the Olympic swimming team. The championships are being held in the West for the first time.
