In the second of three films starring the inimitable Elvis, he plays Johnny, a Mississippi riverboat entertainer who is in love with his partner, Frankie. But Johnny is a compulsive gambler whose losing streak changes dramatically when Lady Luck smiles in the attractive shape of Nelly Bly.
