In October last year, veteran jazz drummer Elvin Jones (brother to pianist Hank and horn player Thad) brought his quartet to London's Ronnie Scott 's. Elvin Jones has supplied crisp rhythms and pinpoint timing to the bands of Charles Mingus and Bud Powell and was an essential member of the classic
Coltrane quartet of the sixties. The latest incarnation of the Elvin Jones sound machine features world-class trombonist Robin Eubanks , long-time Jones associate Sonny Fortune on saxophone and flute, Carlos McKinney on piano and Greg Williams on bass. Producers Lyn Champion and Steve Shepherd
