In 1982 Julian Gray was the victim of an attempted kidnap. Fifteen years on, the man responsible - his father-wants to talk about what made him do it. A former civil servant, Robin was trying to "rescue" his son from the Moonies. Joan Bakewell asks whether it is ever right for families to take back a cult member by force or if cults are like any other religious group and should be tolerated.
