The Late Film: Billy Two Hats

on BBC One London

starring
Gregory Peck Desi Arnaz Jr
Half-Indian, Billy Two Hats, and Deans, an ageing, fellow outlaw, are on the run after a bank robbery. Their pursuer. Sheriff Gifford, is motivated not only by political ambition but by hatred of the Indian.
His vicious incomprehension of the bond between the two men counterpoints the action as the outlaws struggle for a freedom impossible in an intolerant society. This tense Western interweaves an exciting chase story with a study of racial prejudice.
