Gerald Moore : the music of Schumann
Gerald Moore is a familiar figure on the concert platform wherever great soloists appear. He is, indeed, one of the most versatile accompanists in the country-if not the most versatile—and has played regularly for such soloists as Elena Gerhardt, Elisabeth Schumann, Mischa Elman, and Feuermann. He might also be said to be .permanent accompanist to John McCormack. Moore is a first-rate musician who has already given several broadcasts in this series. Particularly memorable were a group of three talks on various aspects of the music of Beethoven.
