Leily Howell , who plays in this recital with Winifred Davey , was born of English parents in Chile, South America, in 1912. She studied at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, and passed first in the Licence de Concert in 1933. On returning to London she gave a recital at the Wigmore Hall, and played concertos with municipal orchestras at many places, including Bath, Bournemouth, Hastings, and Torquay.
