Poltergeist

on BBC One London

Starring Jobeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson, Heather O'Rourke, Steven Spielberg, director of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T., produced this magical and chilling excursion into horror and the unknown.
The Freelings - Steve, Diane and their children - are just like any other Californian suburban family. But one night their youngest, 10-year-old Carol Anne, hears a voice from inside the television set. At first there is an invasion of friendly spirits, but then a terrifying force of evil threatens to destroy the house and carry off the children into the other world.
