Composer of the Week: Kurt Weill

on BBC Radio 3

(1900-1950)
Throughout his rich and varied career, Weill sought musical collaborators of distinction, particularly when it came to librettists. Brian Morton presents the work of Kurt Weill as seen through some of his musical partners. 1: Weill and Georg Kaiser
Georg Kaiser was already an established Expressionist playwright when he started working with Weill.
Their partnership produced Weill's first popular success.
