View in Radio Times

ERIC HOPE (pianoforte) This is the first broadcast of a Choir which has done well in musical festivals in the East Midlands. Most of its members are pupils of Ethel Houseley, of Mansfield, who broadcast as a contralto soloist in 1933. The Choir has given concert variations of several light operas, being augmented for this purpose by male voices, and many charities have benefited.
