World Cup Grandstand

on BBC One London

England v Egypt (Group F) live from Cagliari, and from Palermo: Republic of Ireland v Holland
(Group F). The final set of matches in Group F - the winner of the Group is set to play its first match in the knock-out stage in Bologna; second place takes the team to
Genoa. England has played Egypt only once, winning 4-0 in Cairo four years ago. However, the Africans have developed a promising squad and England, having experienced a goal-less draw with Morocco in the last World Cup, will not be underestimating them. Meanwhile, the Republic of Ireland and Holland lock horns again. Their last meeting produced only a one-goal victory for the Dutch.
Commentary by Barry Davies and Trevor Brooking in Cagliari and John Motson and Liam Brady in Palermo. Introduced by Desmond Lynam.
