Last year over 13,400 girls in England were admitted to hospital because they had self-harmed. Why is this number increasing? A new play at the National called 'Home, I'm Darling' looks at what life would be like for a modern day couple if they completely immersed themselves in the 1950's. We speak to the actress Katherine Parkinson and reflect on whether it can be problematic to fetishize the era. The Department of Health has issued a warning that a reduction in EU carers after Brexit could mean more people, "especially women" giving up jobs to look after elderly relatives. Do women tend to take on more caring responsibilities in the family than men? And we meet Emily Penn, an ocean explorer who is on a mission to educate the world about how plastics pollute our environment. Show less
