MOTD 2018 World Cup

Semi-Final: France v Belgium

Duration: 2 hours, 45 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC One HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One London

Gary Lineker presents live coverage of the eagerly anticipated World Cup semi-final between France and Belgium in St Petersburg.

This will be the 74th meeting between the European neighbours, but without doubt the most important. Both teams are littered with world-class talent and the attacking riches they have at their disposal has led to expectation that this could be a classic.

France coach Didier Deschamps lifted the trophy on the only occasion Les Bleus won the World Cup 20 years ago. His young squad took their time to find their feet in Russia but enjoyed a comfortable victory over Uruguay in the quarter-finals.

Belgium are targeting a first-ever appearance in a World Cup final. Roberto Martinez's side stunned Brazil in their last-eight encounter and are the top scorers in the tournament.

Alan Shearer, Jurgen Klinsmann and Rio Ferdinand provide expert analysis, while commentary comes from Steve Wilson and Danny Murphy. Show less
