The statue of leading suffragist Dame Millicent Garrett Fawcett will be unveiled in Parliament Square. It will be the first ever statue of a woman to stand in the square. Tamsin Smith reports and we'll hear from some of the women involved in this historic event - Caroline Criado Perez who campaigned for the statue to be put in place, Sam Smethers, the Chief Executive of the Fawcett Society and Jennifer Loehnis, Millicent Fawcett's great great niece.
Jessie Buckley was just seventeen when she came second in the BBC talent show I'd Do Anything to find a Nancy for the West End revival of Oliver. Since then she's appeared in BBC dramas such as Taboo, War and Peace and now The Women in White. She also stars in a new film Beast where she plays a woman living in an isolated community who finds her pulled between the control of her oppressive family and the attraction of an outsider suspected of a series of murders. She joins Jane to discuss.
