Ruth Jones stars as Mandy Haveez in David Peet's new sitcom set in one of the more 'interesting' areas of Cardiff. This week, Mandy is desperately trying to make the world a more honest place. From Chertsey's latest job to Bryan's career and love life, it seems that no-one will stop lying - can Mandy convince everyone to be more truthful? And when it comes down to it, will she dare to be more truthful herself? And why has Dad ordered hearing aids?

Mandy lives in Splott with her recently widowed Dad and her daffy daughter Chertsey, just down the road from Mandy's twin brother Bryan, and Bryan's pretentious wife Patricia (don't call her Trish).

Passionate, sometimes gung-ho, but ultimately big-hearted, Mandy simply seeks peace, romance and happiness... but none of it seems to come without a fight.
