Recent reports of the possible release from prison of high profile sex offenders have led to questions about how a decision that someone is fit to be back in day to day public life is arrived at. Woman's Hour looks at what kind of therapeutic treatment is offered in prison and how effective the programmes are. The Channel 4 drama Kiri tells the story of a nine-year-old black girl who is about to be adopted by a white middle-class family. Kiri goes missing on a supervised visit with her birth grandparents and what follows is a story about race, class, mistakes and good intentions. Jenni talks to actor Lia Williams who plays Kiri's foster mother Alice Warner.
