Today the Chancellor Philip Hammond will deliver his Budget, so how will women's finances be affected? Jane talks to Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson, Co-Director of the Women's Budget Group, and Kate Andrews, from the Institute of Economic Affairs, about what we can expect to hear and how key issues like austerity, Universal Credit and Brexit are impacting upon women.

A listener, Sue, contacted us earlier in the year to talk about the transition from being a wife to being a carer. Since then, her husband's condition has deteriorated. Today Sue shares an audio diary made before and after a crucial meeting about Roy's future care. Jane is joined in the studio by Eddy Graham, Head of Advice and Information at Carers UK, to discuss the situation for carers in England.

How does the world of money translate to school age children? How do you best teach them about what money means, on an individual level, a family level and eventually, within wider society? Jane Garvey discusses what parents can do to help children understand money with Heather McGregor, Professor of Business at Herriott-Watt University who used to write the Mrs Moneypenny column in the Financial Times and Alison Collington, Project manager for 'Fiver and Tenner', a programme run by the charity Young Enterprise where students receive £5 or £10 to try to create a business.

With sexual harassment allegations dominating the headlines, how should we be talking to our children about their sexual rights and responsibilities? In a short series with Relationships and Sex Education Specialist Rachel Fitzsimmons, we discuss how to have this conversation with children of different ages. Today, Jane and Rachel discuss the under 5s. Show less
