Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook talk to John Wilson about why the latest series of BBC4's Detectorists will be the last. Since its launch in 2014 the comedy show about people who search for buried treasure with their metal detectors has become a cult hit. Mackenzie has written and directed all three series and also stars alongside Toby Jones.

Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos on following up his prize-winning film The Lobster will an equally unsettling psychological horror, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, starring Nicole Kidman, Barry Keoghan and Colin Farrell.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first museum of its kind in the Arab world and the first time that the Louvre has allowed its name to be used on an institution outside France. Anna Somers Cocks, founding editor of the Art Newspaper, is in Abu Dhabi for the launch of the new museum and reports on its significance.

A new statue of George Orwell by Martin Jennings was unveiled today outside BBC Broadcasting House. Sarah Gaventa, who curated an exhibition on post-war public art in 2016 assesses the bronze artwork.
