At the Happy Friends Café Jill's nostalgic. It's the place where she first met Phil. She and Kirsty agree it's funny how life turns out. Kirsty reports the café's been given notice to move on. Jill wonders whether there's something they can do to stop the closure.
Exasperated Helen refuses Tom space on her stall at the Food and Drink awards. Tony takes Tom off to look at some Anguses, but even Tony snaps as Tom continues to talk up his fermented foods. Tony buys ten cattle. Later, Helen and Tom squabble over how Justin's option money should be spent. Tony points out they need to think of other people. Contrite Tom and Helen apologise. Of course Johnny should have some of the money.
Lilian reports to Jill that Lynda's doing nothing to help heal their rift. And she's poking around the subject of Lilian's age. Jill acknowledges the sensitivity. Meanwhile, Kirsty's prickly with Lilian over Justin's business dealings. When she compares Justin to Matt Crawford, Lilian leaps to Justin's defence. He's nothing like Matt! Kirsty apologises for offending her, but Lilian says she hasn't; quite the opposite. She heads to Bridge Farm and tells the family they need to stop laying into Justin. She's marrying Justin so they'll have to get used to it. Show less
