This series follows vets across Scotland as they tend to small, large and very wild animals. In this programme, vet Scott Rigg is busy operating on a dog's elbow at AVR in Aberdeenshire, and a cat with a badly broken leg has come in following a road accident.
Loki needs to have pins and a plate inserted in his shattered leg to save him from losing it. A calf is born with a large hernia near Blairgowrie and Forfar-based vet Fiona Crowden has to get to him immediately if he is going to survive. In all her years as a vet she has never seen this kind of hernia before and she has no choice but to operate on him there and then in the byre where he was born.
And cats are keeping Kay Falconer and Hector Low busy in Stornoway. Show less
