Gary Lineker presents Premier League highlights.

Roy Keane took his Sunderland side to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, the club where he was revered as a player. The Irishman has yet to see Sunderland score against United while he has been in charge, but the Black Cats did manage to frustrate Sir Alex Ferguson's side at Old Trafford last season, before losing out to Louis Saha's second-half winner.

Bolton Wanderers had beaten Chelsea just once in their last 15 attempts, but needed to get something out of their game at the Reebok Stadium, with a relegation scrap already seeming inevitable for Gary Megson's side.

Just down the road at Ewood Park, Blackburn Rovers also faced a tough task against early pace-setters Liverpool.

It has been over 18 years since Stoke City and Newcastle United met in the league, but they did play twice in the FA Cup last season, when the Potters were still a Championship side. Sam Allardyce was Newcastle manager for the 0-0 draw, but was sacked before the replay, which the Magpies won 4-1.

The two games in the capital saw Arsenal play Wigan Athletic, while Fulham welcomed Manchester City to Craven Cottage. Elsewhere, Middlesbrough travelled down the north-east coast to meet Hull City. Show less
