Iolo visits Great Orme Country Park, which is on a magnificent limestone headland next to the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno in north Wales. While thousands visit the park each year to enjoy fantastic views of the Conwy estuary and the north Wales coast, few of the visitors are aware of the special wildlife that live on the Orme, such as the silver-studded blue butterfly that is unique to the park. It is also a hunting ground for ferocious stoats and a stopping-off point for migrating birds on their way from Africa to Iceland. There are also the Orme's white Kashmir goats who, believe it or not, are taking contraceptives. It is a park full of history and ancient mines. Show less
