'Se sàr Ghàidheal a th'ann an Gladys Nic Iain, Camshron dha h-ainm fhèin. Màthair, seanmhair, agus sinn-seanmhair. Ach cha b' ann anns a Ghàidhealtachd an Alba a rugadh Gladys - rugadh I air iomall Baile Ath Cliath, an Èirinn, anns an dachaidh dìlleachdais Pròsdanach Bethany Home ann a 1936 gu màthair òg Èireannach.
Ràinig I cladaichean baile iomallach Àird Tòbha, Ath Tharracail ann a 1939 agus chaidh a togail le Màiri agus Donnachadh Camshron. Anns a phrògram seo treòraichidh Cathy NicDhòmhnaill, Gladys air turas air leth troimh eachdraidh a beatha. Bheiridh Cathy taic dha Gladys luaidh a dheanamh air a sgeulachd àraid aice - sgeulachd a phaisg I air falbh ann a drathair 'son faisg air trichead bliadhna... gus an dràst.
Gladys Johnston - nee Cameron - is a Gael in every sense of the word. A mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother. However, Gladys wasn't born in the Gaidhealtachd of Scotland, she was born in a Dublin suburb in the Protestant adoption home Bethany House in 1936 to a young unmarried Irish woman. She arrived in the remote village of Ardtoe, Acharacle in 1939 and was brought up by Màiri and Duncan Cameron.
Cathy MacDonald lead Gladys through a journey of discovery into her past. She helps Irish-born Gladys bear witness to her incredible story - a tale she filed away in a drawer for nearly 30 years...until now. Show less
