Having a Lovely Time: Colin Welland... at the Seaside

on BBC One London

The first of a film series in which well-known personalities observe the British in pursuit of leisure.

Blackpool is Lancashire's oasis - mecca for thousands of thirsty travellers raring to have a go. But the old Blackpool is changing. Wrought-iron gives way to plastic, a trip up the Tower is now an Apollo Space Ride. But the spirit of Blackpool lives on, and Colin Welland joins three generations of Blackpool-lovers who still manage to have their 'lovely time.'
