Joanne Froggatt won a Golden Globe award for her role as Anna in Downton Abbey. She's back on TV in ITV drama Dark Angel playing Mary Ann Cotton, the notorious Victorian murderer who was hanged for poisoning three of her four husbands, her mother and several of her children. She talks to Jane about taking on such a sinister role and is joined by Judith Flanders, a social historian, to discuss the phenomenon of 19th Century women poisoners.

As the Royal Ballet prepares to stage Anastasia, Kenneth MacMillan's full-length ballet exploring identity in the wake of the Russian Revolution, Jane speaks to principal ballerinas past and present about the demands of the role - Italian-born dancer Viviana Durante and Lauren Cuthbertson who is making her debut as Anastasia.
