Presenter John Urquhart guides learners through the intricacies of Gaelic language, dialects, idioms and sayings. The first programme of the new series introduces Blasad Beag, a brand-new weekly feature for beginners presented by Catriona Murray, and also sees the return of resident grammer expert, Dr Michel Byrne, and of Roddy Maclean who takes a weekly look at some of Scotland's Gaelic placenames.

This week's programme also features BBC archive material which is used to illustrate some of the complexities of the language along with an interview with learner of the week, American Patrick Yancey, who shares his learning experience. Show less
