In Inverness, Shane and Lynn's twin boys were born with the rare genetic condition Goldenhar syndrome, but as Dad explains, they are both affected in different ways.

Three years after a dramatic birth we catch up with Alex, playing football with his mum and brothers at home in Keiss near Wick. Alex spent many weeks in Raigmore hospital's Special Care Baby Unit, and mum Alison felt torn between being with her new baby and her two older boys in Caithness.

Twins Astrid and Helena were also slightly premature, and we followed mum Eilidh's determined struggle to breastfeed them. The girls have just started primary one in Bun Sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhirnis and come home from school with a new song.

We also catch up with four-year-old Stuart in Lochinver as we recall the snowy day mum Sarah had to be airlifted to Raigmore when she went into labour at home. Show less
