In this chapter of his scrapbook, Roy warns to be careful what you wish for, because it often comes true and usually isn't what you really want.
Roy remembers wishing he were a gorilla and that Mr Hammond would quit his school - and then it happened! Roy really learned his lesson when a new teacher, Mr Lightjoy, showed up to replace his former principal, and he took away all their video games, comics and fun! Roy never thought he'd be so happy to see Hammo back, but he appreciated him more when he was gone!
Roy also wished he could be CGI instead of a cartoon boy, as he thought that his friends and family would like him more. Luckily, cartoon character Harry Hare shows Roy the only thing he should wish for is to be himself.
Roy explains that from a distance everyone's life can look more interesting than your own sometimes, but really everyone has good stuff and bad stuff to deal with, and Roy concludes that, instead of wishing for all the things you don't have, think about all the great things you do have. Chances are, someone's wishing they had what you have right now! Show less
