Father of two Marvin Couson had been enjoying a night out with friends when he was hit by a stray bullet outside an east London nightclub in 2002. He survived with serious injuries and spent the next 13 years confined to a hospital bed, unable to communicate. Last August, Marvin lost his battle against those injuries and passed away with his family by his bedside. As his death came as a direct result of the shooting, the Met Police have launched a full murder investigation.
