2014 saw the West Side Football club win the hotly contested Lewis & Harris League for the first time in their history. The team also won three cups - an incredible season altogether! In this programme, we follow the team over the 2015 season as they try to defend their title with the support of the many volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
Leading the club are manager Murdo MacDonald, his assistant Alex Matheson and the chairman John 'Corags' MacLeod - all ex-players and die-hard Westsiders! Their roles are wide and varied, from organising the fundraisers, to pitch repairs and grass cutting, they'll turn their hand to anything, as do the team. Corags's wife, Sandra, is also at the heart of all things West Side. From washing strips, to making the pies and cleaning the changing rooms, there's always something.
Then there's the supporters, amongst them the old boys - some great characters who have followed the team for many a year and have plenty of craic. Show less
