Cardigan Bay Coastal Lives

Episode 3

Duration: 30 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Two WalesLatest broadcast: on BBC Two Wales

It's the start of the school summer holidays and as tourists flood into Cardigan Bay, it's a momentous time for Alan and Jean and their staff at Borth Zoo. After a two-year battle they finally have their lion licence, and under tight security, African lions Zulu and Wilma are on the move from their old zoo in Bristol to the sleepy Welsh seaside town of Borth.

In Cardigan, Des Perenara, aka Elvis Desley, has jumpsuit problems. Having made his first suit out of cheap material, he just can't get down into the classic Elvis poses. Can his friend and seamstress Sarah come to the rescue by making Des a new stretchy jumpsuit? And can Des pull off the performance of his life when he competes at the world-famous Porthcawl Elvis Festival?

And it's a historic day for Cardigan town's 900-year-old castle as it opens to the public after a four-year renovation. But for castle historian and fanatic Glen, a lost ring could ruin the big day. Show less
