Stacey hides her torn baby scan when Martin arrives home. Martin questions whether Stacey’s heading to Shabnam’s for the Mehndi – Stacey brushes off the question and tells Martin to return to work. As Fatima does henna on a jittery Shabnam, Tamwar awkwardly asks why Shabnam’s having to have her dress tailored. Later, Tamwar apologises – but Shabnam insists that she doesn’t mind people acknowledging that Zaair existed. Shabnam admits that she’s not sure if Stacey will be coming later; they’ve had an argument. Tamwar reminds Shabnam that she’s not going to want to get married without her best friend. Shabnam heads to Stacey’s flat and asks Stacey whether everything’s okay with the baby – assuming that’s why she tore up the scan. Stacey promises that everything’s fine, leading Shabnam to question what she’s hiding. Stacey claims that she was just upset and over-reacted.

Stacey promises to come over later after work, but her face falls as soon as Shabnam leaves. Martin crosses Shabnam who questions whether the pair have made up. Martin’s surprised when Shabnam shares that she saw Stacey’s scan – claiming they never got a photo. Shabnam swiftly covers. Stacey and Denise arrive for the Mehndi – Shabnam corners Stacey and asks her why Martin doesn’t know about the scan photo. When Shabnam lets slip that she’s written Kush a speech, the others beg to hear it. Shabnam delivers an emotional speech that she’s written for Kush, it’s all too much for Stacey who leaves the room. Shabnam follows and tells Stacey that there’s only one reason she can think of why Stacey didn’t tell Martin that she had a scan photo – she was scared Martin would notice that the baby is older than she said. Shabnam’s shocked as Stacey admits that Martin’s not the baby’s father...

Sharon’s floored when she finds Kathy in the house, questioning where the money from Phil’s safe is. Sharon claims innocence but Kathy and Ben are unconvinced. Sharon firmly tells Ben to find out where the money’s gone, but once alone, her steely façade drops. Sharon arrives at Ian’s and asks to borrow money – admitting that she took Phil’s money and gave it to Gavin to help him escape. Ian’s horrified at Sharon’s confession, and brands Gavin a lunatic, despite him being her father. As Ben and Kathy arrive, Ian tells the pair exactly what Sharon’s done; an angry Ben storms out.

As Sharon leaves a voicemail for Ben wanting to explain her actions, she’s stopped in her tracks by Margaret Mountford. In the Albert, Sharon questions Margaret who admits that it was indeed her house that Phil got held up in and that it was her who helped Gavin to fake his death. Margaret hands Sharon a slip of paper with Gavin’s number on it, warning her to stay away from him. Sharon visits Dot, hoping for answers about her father’s past. Dot advises Sharon to throw Gavin’s telephone number away, but Sharon can’t help herself and leaves a voicemail, asking whether she’s every going to see him again. Sharon returns home to a frosty Ben who tells her that he hasn’t told Phil what she did. Sharon attempts to explain – it was a split second decision having waited to meet her dad for so many years. Sharon assures Ben that Gavin won’t be coming back; there’s nothing for him here. Ben agrees that they can put everything behind them. Later, Sharon receives a text from Gavin – ‘Yes. We’ll see each other again soon. Dad.’

Linda’s put out when Elaine suggests that Linda and Mick head to the firework display that night, claiming they can decide for themselves. A put out Aunt Babe warns Mick that he doesn’t know what he’s letting himself in for, having Elaine about. Whitney’s disappointed when Lee chooses drinking with the boys over taking her to a bonfire party – Elaine clocks this exchange. Elaine finds Whitney and cattily berates her for sulking about Lee going for a drink. When Whitney asks Elaine why she hates her, Elaine claims she’s merely looking out for her.

As Ronnie makes toffee apples for that evening, with a glint in her eye she assures Roxy that she has everything under control. Roxy and Dean arrive with Jade; Ronnie plays nice. As Roxy, Dean and Jade play with sparklers in the Square Gardens, Ronnie approaches Mick. Mick questions why Ronnie’s playing friendly with Dean, Ronnie reminds him that it’s wise to keep enemies close. Show less
