Irish singer-songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne, a unique multi-instrumentalist, taught himself to play guitar and piano at 15, focusing on folk and blues. He dropped out of Trinity College to record demos for Universal Music.

His appearance at the Other Voices festival in County Dingle was his first TV appearance. In this programme he reflects on that experience and what has happened since his first release Take Me to Church went viral in 2013. The track was the most-shared song on Spotify in 2014. A second EP, From Eden, appeared in the spring of 2014 and in September of that year, he released his self-titled debut album, which reached No 2 in the US Billboard 200 chart. He became the second highest-charting new artist of 2014 in the US and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2015 and also for an MTV Europe Music Award. Show less
