Lily, Martha and Jas are super-bright but socially awkward 13-year-old girls trying to make sense of life, boys and fitting in. While other girls are going to parties, netball practice and sleepovers, our inseparable trio are busy with chess club, homework and Friday nights in watching documentaries.

When Lily is upset to realise Matt is going out with cool girl Greta Masters, Jas plans a makeover slumber party to cheer her up. Unfortunately it clashes with a rare comet sighting, which Martha and Ollie are desperate to experience. They have even been allowed to borrow the very precious school telescope for the evening.
