Dean questions Shabnam over what she said; he remembers their one night stand and demands to know what happened - does he have a child? Tamwar interrupts. Dean claims he helped Shabnam with the shopping and leaves, then waits outside for Tamwar to exit and hammers on the door, begging Shabnam to speak to him. Shabnam eventually opens the door and Dean pleads for the truth. Shabnam tearfully admits she had Dean’s baby - a little girl.

Elated, Dean fires questions at Shabnam; she panics and lies that the baby died. Shocked, Dean doesn’t know why she bothered saying anything and exits. Later, having filled Stacey in, Shabnam’s disgusted with her lie but resolves to make Dean keep her secret. Dean wonders if Shabnam went through everything alone and asks if the baby suffered; Shabnam claims the doctors thought it was amazing she lasted a week. Dean’s confused – Shabnam said the baby only lived 2 days? Shabnam backtracks but Dean’s suspicions are roused. Masood finds Shabnam in the café, despairing that she’s a bad person.
