Crimewatch

23/04/2015

Duration: 1 hour

First broadcast: on BBC One HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One Wales

On the 40th anniversary of the brutal murders of two young women, Crimewatch features a special cold case review into the still-unsolved cases.

Back in 1975, the gruesome murders in London shocked the nation. 22-year-old 'bunny girl' Eve Stratford's throat was cut, and 16-year-old schoolgirl Lynne Weedon was raped and strangled. At the time, there was nothing to suggest the two murders, on the opposite sides of London, were linked, but modern DNA techniques show that both women were killed by the same man.

Also featuring in the programme, a special investigation into the rise of so-called 'sextortion'. An internet-era crime in which organised gangs encourage their victims to perform explicit acts online before blackmailing them with the threat of re-posting the images for all the world to see.
