Rob Maclean introduces live coverage of the League Cup quarter-final tie between Rangers and St Johnstone.
The Ibrox side have lifted the League Cup on 27 separate occasions, most recently in the extra-time victory over Celtic in 2011. Having lost to Forfar in the first round of the competition last season, Ally McCoist's side have already defeated Queens Park and Inverness to reach this stage of the tournament.
St Johnstone travel to the south side of Glasgow with fond memories, having beaten Aberdeen at Ibrox in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup on the way to lifting the trophy - their first major silverware in 130 years. The results for Tommy Wright's team in the first part of the season have been variable, but the loss of strikers Stevie May to Sheffield Wednesday and Steven Maclean to injury have been partially offset by the loan signing of Dundee United's Brian Graham, who scored the only goal in the victory over Kilmarnock in the last round.
