Deep in the Essex countryside, there is a bridal shop with a difference. Owned by best friends Jo and Alison, it specialises in wedding dresses for larger brides. They both know what it's like to walk down the aisle as a plus-size bride and have made it their mission to help other brides find the perfect dress, as well as the confidence to shine on the day.
We join two brides, Lindsay and Jenna, in the run-up to their weddings. Upset by the way she was treated in ordinary bridal shops, Jenna was ready to give up the search for her dream dress before she found Jo and Alison.
Bride-to-be Lindsay doesn't normally do dresses but, following the death of her sister ten years ago, she has decided to have a church wedding to give her father the chance to walk one of his daughters down the aisle.
While the pair are busy attending to their clients, the search is also on for a bridal dress for Jo, who is renewing her vows with husband Kevin on their thirteenth wedding anniversary. Having lost 12 stone in the past 12 months, she wants more than anything for Kevin to tell her she looks beautiful in her dress - something he didn't do the first time around. Show less
