JOHN OGDON

on BBC Radio 3

Part 2
The original rough manuscript of Elgar's Concert Allegro, which begins the second part of this recital, was discovered in 1968 in the library of the late Anthony Bernard after having been mislaid for more than sixty years. John Ogdon , entrusted with editing the score, gave the first 'modern' performance of the work in Music Now on BBC-2 in February.
