The acclaimed African American writer Toni Morrison has died at the age of 88. The Nobel Prize winning author was considered by many as one of America's greatest writers. In 2014 Razia Iqbal interviewed her at the Hay Festival.
From the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the Pulitzer Prize, Toni Morrison, received the highest literary awards during her career, her work, such as the novels The Bluest Eye and Beloved, chronicle African-American history and are renowned for examining the handprint of the past on current society.
