Crimewatch

22/07/2014

First broadcast: on BBC One HDLatest broadcast: on BBC One Wales

The Crimewatch team present the latest crime news, appeals and investigations.

Including the case of Alan Jeal whose body was discovered washed up on a Cornish beach in February. He was found naked, apart from socks and one shoe by a dog walker on the popular surf beach of Perranporth. As well as some signs of drowning, the 64-year-old also had significant injuries to his chest and head and a pair of white headphones looped around a sock lodged in his mouth. For detectives, it triggered an investigation into a suspicious death, which five months on is still a mystery.

Now Crimewatch has been granted full access to the key evidence, including CCTV and interviews to piece together a case, which so far, has left everyone baffled.

Also, with the summer holidays fast approaching Martin Bayfield investigates the rise in scams specifically targeting those looking for a good deal online.

And Matthew Amroliwala has exclusive access to the counter terrorism team who were tasked with tracking down a white supremacist bomber in Birmingham.

Plus, the usual roundup of crimes caught on CCTV and a fresh collection of wanted faces. Show less
