In Scotland today approximately one percent of all pregnancies results in twins. But what is it like to be a twin? Trusadh meets a range of twins, identical and non-identical - to unearth how life looks from a twin's perspective.

There is a look at the science that makes twins occur in the womb, and whether it has a far-reaching effect on personalities and similarities in twins' experience of life. How do they deal with conflict, competition, and the issues created by partners and new families coming into the world of twins?

These and other questions will be explored in this light hearted look at the ups and downs of being a twin. The world of twins is undoubtedly defined by this inseparable connection at birth. But how does a twin cope when this connection is severed?

Through Melissa from Glasgow's story, we discover how she and her wider family have coped with the tragic passing of her twin Nicole. Alasdair and Stephen from the Isle of Skye show us how twins can work, co-operate and compete as business partners. We also learn from identical twins Debbie and Lindsay how different twins can be in all but appearance. Show less
